Dan Schlegel has been in the golf course design industry for nearly two decades. During this time, he has had the opportunity to work on hundreds of projects, nationally and internationally. These projects have included new golf course home site developments, private country clubs, daily fee facilities and military golf courses.

He also has the extensive experience in renovating existing facilities. Today his work continues on similar projects with clients who have retained Dan's services to bring back lost design characteristics on courses designed by the Golden Age Architects such as Donald Ross and William Flynn. His greatest experience is in the area of retrofitting existing facilities with new additions and other updates to expand their quality, profitability, and challenges.

Designs by Dan Schlegel have garnered attention in both national and regional publications. Comments people in the industry have made about Dan are that his construction documents are some of the most detailed and accurate in the industry, that he listens to and provides precise solutions to client's goals and objectives, and that he communicates these qualities through the design and construction process in a personable, honest, and fair manner.

Dan is a member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects, the Mid-Atlantic Association of Golf Course Superintendents, and a member of the Board of Directors of the First Tee of Montgomery County, Maryland.
